As most of you probably know by now, legendary actor Robert De Niro welcomed his seventh baby into the world earlier this year. He welcomed the baby girl with his girlfriend, Tiffany Chen. It’s their first baby together, and it was a shock to everyone, cause you know… De Niro is 80-years-old!
During a recent interview with The Guardian, the ‘Meet the Parents‘ star revealed he doesn’t do the heavy lifting when it comes to his newborn daughter.
It doesn’t get easier. It is what it is. It’s okay. I mean, I don’t do the heavy lifting. I’m there, I support my girlfriend. But she does the work. And we have help, which is so important.
Ah, yes. We’re sure his daughter will love reading that quote back when she gets older. “It is what it is.” LOL!
When the interviewer asked if De Niro enjoyed fatherhood at all, the actor replied, “Of course I do. All of it,” but he honestly could have fooled us.
He also talked about how different he is with all his kids because of the wide age gap between them.
With a baby it’s different [than] with my 11-year-old. My adult children. My grandchildren. It’s all different. Well, I don’t talk to the adult children the way I talk to my baby or the way I speak to my 11-year-old, though she’s pretty smart.
For those wondering, Robert’s oldest kid is 46-years-old.
