Sarah Jessica Parker has had extreme success in her own life. She has a net worth close to $200 million and starred in one of the most popular television shows of all time.
And now, the 60-year-old actress is hopeful her children can find similar success.
During an appearance on The E! News Sitdown with Bruce Bozzi, Parker talked about her oldest son, 22-year-old James Wilkie, who recently started his own acting journey.
I really want my children to be educated in the ways that are fulfilling to them. I don’t think that there is one way to be an educated person. You want for them to be pursuing things that are exciting and challenging and hard and gratifying and to be able to ultimately take care of themselves, support themselves — emotionally, financially, and that they can be in the world and be a reliable person.
We all want that for our children. If your kid grows up and is able to take care of themselves and has minimal emotional damage, well, you did a great job as a parent.
In addition to her eldest son, Parker also shares 15-year-old twin daughters, Tabitha and Marion, with her husband, Matthew Broderick.
Back in April, Parker talked about what it’s like to raise twins…
I find mine really likable. It’s like you’re constantly in a control study, because you have one of this type and one of this type. And they go to the same school, and they have reactions. But, they’re just really interesting. They’re, generally speaking, really kind and curious.
