As summer ends, emotional drop-offs at college begin. Al Roker and his wife Deborah Roberts just dropped their youngest kid off at college.
The 68-year-old famous weatherman and his wife dropped their son, Nick, off to start his freshman year of college this week.
Deborah shared a photo on her Instagram account. In the photo, you can see her, Al and their son standing in front of what looks to be a packed vehicle.

She captioned the sweet photo:
Wednesday wonder. After all the hard work. All the discipline. All the dreaming. All the prayers. His moment to soar has come. (I’m not crying. I promise. 😢). Pride doesn’t even begin to describe this day Nick Roker. The journey continues.
She also shared more photos to her Instagram Story, featuring the grueling process of packing up the car with all the dorm essentials.

Back in June, Roker talked about how proud he was of his son during a conversation on Today.
It was difficult. We’re so proud of him, all the work he’s done, the people who have helped him along the way. It literally does take a village. It was a terrific moment and he’s put in so much hard work and I’m just so very proud of this young man.
For those who don’t know, Nick was diagnosed with autism. And while it’s been a struggle throughout the years, he has accomplished so much.
He’s had developmental delays since infancy; at age 3, he hardly talked and could barely walk. But today he is a black belt in taekwondo, a swimmer with two gold medals from Special Olympics New York, and the principal cross bearer on the worship team at their church.
Yeah, I think it’s easy to see why Al and Deborah are so proud of him. What an incredible kid! Sounds like he’s going to kick some serious butt in college.
