John Stamos waited until his 50s to have his first kid, and he’s talked about how glad he is to have waited because he took a little longer to mature than most. He was living the rockstar life for a long time.
These days, he has a settled down. The 59-year-old actor went on his Instagram account on Tuesday to share a photo he snapped with his 4-year-old son, Billy.
“One of us is starting his first day at school. And the other is doing everything in his power not to cry,” he captioned the photo.

He shares Billy with his wife Caitlin McHugh, who is 23 years his junior. They got married back in 2018 and appear to be very happy together.
By the way, they met in a pretty unique way. Earlier this year, Stamos wrote about their first meeting to celebrate their four-year anniversary.
Some couples meet at work. Some meet through friends. Some on dating apps. I met my wife on a TV show called SVU Law and Order [sic] where I was playing a serial reproductive abuser, trying to secretly impregnate her by poking a hole in a condom- I already had 47 children, but wanted one more.
Wow. I had no idea Stamos played a role like that. I can’t imagine Uncle Jesse as a serial reproductive abuser. That’s not something I even want to picture.
Anyway, fatherhood looks good on Stamos. Glad he’s finally settled and happy in life!
