Jennifer Lawrence covers the October issue of Vogue, and obviously she looked gorgeous and glowing. The 32-year-old actress is having the time of her life after becoming a mother for the first time.

She and her husband Cooke Maroney welcomed their first baby together back in February 2022. And for several months, no one knew if they had a baby girl or a baby boy.

But in her Vogue cover story, Lawrence revealed she gave birth to a baby boy. She admitted that she gets nervous talking about motherhood because not everyone has the same experience with it.

It’s so scary to talk about motherhood. Only because it’s so different for everybody. If I say ‘It was amazing from the start,’ some people will think, ‘It wasn’t amazing for me at first,’ and feel bad. Fortunately I have so many girlfriends who were honest. Who were like, ‘It’s scary. You might not connect right away. You might not fall in love right away.’ So I felt so prepared to be forgiving.

Much to her surprise though, she did feel the love instantly. She explained that her heart stretched to a capacity she didn’t know was possible. She loves everyone more now, even her cat.

The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over. Like, ‘Now is day one of my life.’ I just stared. I was just so in love. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing. They’re these pink, swollen, fragile little survivors. Now I love all babies.

Lawrence also revealed that she suffered two miscarriages before this most recent pregnancy. One happened in her early 20s, and then the second one happened fairly recently while she was filming the Netflix comedy, Don’t Look Up. Following the second miscarriage, Lawrence had to undergo a surgical procedure to remove tissue from her uterus.
