Now that Serena Williams has retired from professional tennis (at least for now) she’s a full-time mother to her 5-year-old daughter, Olympia.
The 41-year-old tennis legend often posts clips on TikTok showing her parenting journey, and this past week, she shared a hilarious video of Olympia playing with a cat toy.
…except it wasn’t a cat toy. It was a tampon.

Serena asks her daughter what she’s playing with, and Olympia responded with, “A cat toy for Karma,” and that’s when Serena held back her laughter, “It’s a cat toy for our cat?” she asked.
Olympia continued to pull out more feminine products, much to her mother’s dismay, “You have some more cat toys? OK, let’s not, no, let’s not play with too many of those,” Serena said before covering her face with her palm.
The video was obviously a hit. One user wrote, “Technically, she’s right,” while others suggested she should show this video to her daughter when “it” happens to her.
So what’s next for Serena? Well, perhaps more babies. In her essay for Vogue, she revealed that she and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, have been trying.
In the last year, Alexis and I have been trying to have another child, and we recently got some information from my doctor that put my mind at ease and made me feel that whenever we’re ready, we can add to our family. I definitely don’t want to be pregnant again as an athlete. I need to be two feet into tennis or two feet out.
