As most of you should know by now, ‘This Is Us‘ actress Mandy Moore is expecting her second child with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith. They announced in June that they were expecting another boy together. They already share Gus, who will be turning 2-years-old in early 2023.
And because of this new addition on the way, Moore has been busy trying to shift things around inside her home to make room.
She recently partnered with the free Crate & Kids Design Desk service to create a warm nursery and to give Gus’ room a much-needed refresh.
Mandy wanted to incorporate a space for Gus to spend time with his brother, so we added in the new Kids Sherpa Bear Lounge, an ultra-cozy and perfectly sized whimsical chair. For Gus to continue exploring his musical side, we added the Wooden Band Setto his room.
Moore wanted to keep Gus’ room and the nursery “neutral and light” and wanted to “balance the accents of color and texture.”
And while it remains to be seen if the new baby will appreciate the space, we already know Gus loves it.
Mandy loved seeing Gus’ reaction to his new room, especially his music table! He carried the drum/xylophone sticks around and loved sitting on the wooden rocking motorcycle, a part of the Leanne Ford for Crate & Kids Collection.
It’s an exciting time for the entire family, but Moore believes Gus is in for a big surprise when his baby brother finally arrives.
I say baby brother all the time and point to my stomach, and he’ll say, ‘Baby brother,’ but he has no idea what’s going on. His level of awareness of the world is just starting to kick in. We’ll figure out how to best introduce the two of them, but yeah, he has no idea what’s about to hit him.
I think experts recommend keeping them on a leash and introducing them on neutral territory… or wait, is that advice for dogs? I’m all mixed up.
