If you’re finding it hard to balance life as a mother, don’t feel like you’re alone… even extremely wealthy celebrities are finding it difficult.
40-year-old actress Jessica Biel appeared on Tuesday’s episode of ‘Today with Hoda & Jenna‘ and she admitted it’s hard for her to give herself a break from her busy schedule, which includes raising two sons.
[Being a mom] is probably the No. 1 most un-sexy job in the world for the most part. It’s the best job, most days, and then it can be such a challenging job. But I think it is important to go on date nights. You have to take the time for yourself. It’s so hard. I’m trying to take my own advice. I’m not good at it and I’m still working on finding that balance in my life.
I think that’s something a lot of parents can relate to. The moment you take a break, you start to feel guilty thinking you can do more.
Biel shares two kids, Silas (7) and Phineas (2) with husband Justin Timberlake, so you can imagine how busy that household is. Everyone has something on their schedule.
The actress also talked about what she’s currently trying to teach her boys…
Being curious about the world, being curious about other places you’re not from, that you have never been to. That is important to me. I am a constant student of the world and I hope my kids have that same love as well.
Love that so much. It’s a very important lesson for kids to learn. Study after study shows just how important it is for kids to see all aspects of life, not just those that immediately surround them.
Sounds like Biel and Timberlake are doing a great job as parents. Hopefully Biel is able to find that balance she’s looking for. It’s essential for longevity as a parent!
