POWER COUPLE ALERT!
Ryan Reynolds certainly portrays himself to be a good guy on screen, and it turns out, he’s a pretty good dude in real life as well.
The 46-year-old actor is married to 35-year-old actress Blake Lively, and together, they share three kids with one more on the way. On Thursday, Lively praised Reynolds during an emotional speech before he accepted the prestigious American Cinematheque Award.
She explained that while Reynolds absolutely loves his work, it’s no match for the love he has for his family.
And now I am his home, and our girls are his home. And just like that 19-year-old boy [who used to commute home to Canada], he races home, whether it’s from across the globe or a meeting across the street, he is hard-wired to get home. If he came home from set not in his wardrobe, we would be very concerned. He would show up with mud, fake blood, real blood, prosthetic scars, superhero suits, shoes or clown makeup, daddy always comes home.
Lively revealed she’s never seen someone who is able to balance it as well as Reynolds. The way he’s able to give 100% at work for 10 hours a day, and then still have the energy to give his kids 110% when he comes home.
He is able to somehow be everything to everyone, all at once. He is the most present person you will ever meet. And yes, he creates magic in his work but man, oh man, does he create magic in his real life.
Wow. What a speech, right? I would pay good money to have someone build me up like that. Geez.
Certainly sounds like they have a great marriage. Here’s to hoping that magic lasts forever.
