It’s a glorious week for Billie Lourd and her husband, Austen Rydell. The happy couple welcomed their second child into the world on Monday, December 12.
The 30-year-old actress confirmed the news by posting a photo to Instagram. She captioned the photo:
1️⃣2️⃣✨1️⃣2️⃣✨2️⃣2️⃣ Introducing: Kingston’s sister: ✨💖✨Jackson Joanne Lourd Rydell ✨💖✨.
Little Jackson Joanne joins 2-year-old Kingston Fisher. And as some of you may have noticed, Kingston’s middle name is an ode to Lourd’s late mom, Carrie Fisher. While Jackson’s middle name pays tribute to Rydell’s late grandmother, Joanne Linville.
The birth of Billie’s second child was actually revealed on Tuesday, when her father Bryan Lourd, broke the news while speaking at Variety’s Dealmakers Breakfast in Beverly Hills.
My daughter had a baby last night. I left the hospital at 1:30 and got there this morning at 6. I’m a little tired, but happy. Everything’s great. So if I wander, it’s because the adrenaline is still flowing.
Back in October, Billie talked about how this pregnancy compared to her first one. She revealed they were so much different because her first pregnancy came during the pandemic, so she was stuck inside the house for months.
I went nowhere. I knitted a blanket, and I watched The Sopranos, and I watched The Wire and I didn’t leave my couch. It was a very different vibe. This time, I did American Horror Story, and then I just wrapped this other movie that I shot in London.
Now let’s hope she finds the time to rest a little bit!
