It’s happy times for Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. The 37-year-old cookbook author gave birth to her rainbow baby on Friday, January 13.
Legend shared the news hours after the baby’s arrival at a private concert, which was already scheduled. He told the crowd he and Teigen welcomed “the little baby this morning.”
He admitted he was low on sleep, but felt energized enough to put on a show for the people in the audience. He also added, “What a blessed day.”

As most of you know, Teigen and Legend are already parents to 6-year-old Luna and 4-year-old Miles. In 2020, they were expecting baby number 3, but a month after announcing the pregnancy news, Teigen suffered a pregnancy loss due to a partial placenta abruption.
They weren’t sure if they wanted to try for another baby after the loss, but obviously they ended up agreeing to try again. A source told PEOPLE that both Legend and Teigen are ecstatic to welcome another baby into the family.
They both really wanted to add another baby to the family. It’s been a long road. Chrissy and the baby are doing well. It’s such an amazing way for them to start the new year.
