Do you ever look at all these celebrity parents and wonder how they do it? How do they juggle all these jobs while raising a family? Well, most of them have help, and lots of it.
Tamron Hall talked with SheKnows recently, and she was very honest about how she makes it work with her 3-year-old son, Moses.
The 52-year-old talk show host revealed she wouldn’t be able to make it work without a live-in nanny.
I’ve talked about the fact that our nanny lives with us. It’s impossible to do it without her; my nearest family members are 2,000 miles away. I made a very conscious and deliberate decision to make sure people knew this about my life. I wasn’t going to pretend and I also felt that [to do so] was diminishing this great woman who chose a career to care for my son when I’m not able to be there.
Even though she’s open and honest about the process, she does worry sometimes that she’s not spending enough time with her son as he grows up.
I want to be there for every moment. If I could hide behind a cubby in his classroom…I just want to watch him every minute of the day. That’s the biggest challenge; having to work, not having enough time, and not being able to hide in his backpack every single second to watch my little bird grow.
I think most parents can relate, especially new parents. It’s super refreshing to see a celebrity be real about the process. There’s no shame in hiring help. We just need more people to be honest about it, so other parents don’t feel like a failure for struggling without it.
