Pop icon Janet Jackson is many things to many people, but to 6-year-old Eissa, she’s simply “mama”.
The 56-year-old legend was brought to tears while talking about her son with ‘Today‘ host Sheineille Jones this week.
[The title] that gives me the biggest gratification is mama. That’s it. Mama. I love everything about being a mom.
For those who don’t remember, Jackson gave birth to son Eissa at the age of 50, which is super impressive. She shares her bundle of joy with her ex-husband Wissam Al Mana.

During the interview with Today, Jackson revealed she’s more open with her life now because she feels more comfortable. She admits to not being as shy as she once was.
Jones asked her what she loves most about being a mom, and Jackson had a pretty lovely answer:
Everything. Every — when they’re tired. When you need a break. I just love it all. I love it all. When you’re in that moment, you see something special happens, I’m like, ‘Oh my God,’ and I know I’m going to remember this for the rest of my life — sorry I’m getting emotional because I’m thinking of one thing in particular. I’ll never forget it. It’s just so beautiful. I just thought, ‘That’s my baby. That’s — you’re making me emotional.
She certainly seems to be in a great place, and we honestly couldn’t be happier for her. She deserves some peace and happiness after how the world treated her following the infamous Super Bowl incident.
