Retired from tennis, but not from motherhood! Serena Williams went on her Instagram account on Monday to reveal the news that she’s expecting her second baby with her husband, Alexis Ohanian!
The couple, who married each other back in November 2017, are already parents to 5-year-old Olympia.
Serena shared a number of photos of her and Ohanian, and in one photo, you can see that she’s holding her baby bump. The post included the sneaky caption, “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala.”
Safe to say, everyone in her comments were shocked. The post has over one million likes, and that number will only continue to go up.
This news is surprising, but at the same time, it’s not. We know Serena stepped away from her legendary tennis career to focus on her family, so it makes sense for them to expand it.
And who knows, maybe this new kid will be more interested in tennis. Serena recently talked about how she’s struggling with the fact that Olympia isn’t super into tennis.
That’s a little disappointing for me, but she’s actually really good at it. So we are trying to figure out a way to get her to play a little bit. Maybe I can push her into tennis by getting other kids to have a group lesson, I think that’s what I’m gonna do.
