As we’re sure you’re all aware, Nick Cannon has 12 children with six different women. His baby mama drama has been documented extensively.
And some people out there believe he’s being irresponsible having so many kids. Heck, some have even labeled him as a deadbeat dad, which is just such a hurtful insult as a father.
During a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, the 42-year-old entertainer rejected claims that he’s a bad father.
I’ve been villainized. I hear all the time: ‘You can’t be present for all those children.’ So, therefore, I get this deadbeat dad title.
Cannon insists it’s the opposite though. He does everything he can to provide for his family. He claims he generates around $100 million a year to afford his lifestyle and take care of his kids and their moms.
That’s why he works so much. He’s the host of The Masked Singer, Wild N’ Out, Beat Shazam, and Celebrity Prank Wars.
Canon also recently wrapped filming the first season of an Amazon Freevee show called ‘Counsel Culture,’ meant to be an all-male version of ‘The View,’ the Los Angeles Times reports. He hosts the live morning radio show ‘The Daily Cannon’ as well as the podcast ‘#2HateorNot2Hate.’
With all those jobs, how does he make time for his children? Well, it’s difficult, but he tries his best to give each kid their own day.
The Masked Singer host revealed that he has a dedicated calendar for each one of his kids, will occasionally bring them with him to meetings, and determines where he’ll sleep based on which child he drops off last.
He certainly hasn’t made it easy for himself, but hey, as long as everyone is happy… who are we to judge? Some people love chaos!
