The act of trying to balance your work and home life can be challenging at times, but 37-year-old actress Amanda Seyfried loves a challenge.
For those who don’t know, Seyfried has two kids (7, 2) with her husband Thomas Sadoski. They all live together in a “chic farmhouse” in the Catskills, and by all accounts, life is pretty close to perfect.
During a recent conversation with PEOPLE while promoting her upcoming miniseries, The Crowded Room, Seyfried talked about the balance between following your passion and being a parent.
I did have my daughter on set quite a bit. She just knows how much I love my job and she knows I can be a good mom and a present artist. She would sit in the dressing with my assistant and draw. I mean, the whole wall in my dressing room was covered in drawings from my daughter. It was really nice. I love merging the two lives together, I love when my family comes to work. You know, I felt really lucky that I was able to do that.
Seyfried has previously talked about how her daughter already seems interested in acting. When asked about the possibility, she said, “Totally. My husband is terrified.”
But as she also pointed out, what does he expect? Both her parents are in the acting business. Things like that tend to run in the family.
No word on if Seyfried and Sadoski are going to have more children, but for right now, they seem content.
