Cardi B grew up poor, and now that she’s worth nearly $100 million, she’s obsessed with making sure her kids live a life of luxury. A life she never got to live as a kid.
During a conversation with The New York Times, the 30-year-old rapper revealed she recently dropped $20k on a playground set for her children.
When I bought my mom a house, that meant a lot to me. When I bought my house with my husband, that meant a lot to me. But it also do be the little things, right? I just bought this playground set for my kids and it’s huge. It looks insane. And I spent in the 20 thousands for it.
I love how she’s so rich now that she puts a $20,000 gift in the “little things” category. That would be an extravagant for most people in the world. Actually, it’d be an impossible gift for most of the world. Who has $20k to spend on a present?

Cardi does acknowledge that buying expensive gifts doesn’t make you a great parent, but it does make her feel good…
Overly spending on your kids doesn’t mean that you’re a great parent, but it makes you feel good. It makes you feel like that you’re living your childhood dream.
At least she acknowledges it’s more for her than them.
