Could Simon Cowell be judging his own son on ‘Britains Got Talent‘ in the future? It’s possible!

The 63-year-old music mogul talked with Entertainment Tonight this past week and revealed that his 10-year-old son Eric wants to play drums and sing in a rock band.

He’s now decided he’s going to audition for Britain’s Got Talent. I think he wants to be in a rock band. He loves Green Day. That’s going to be total torture. I mean, of all the things I’ve ever done, this will probably be the hardest, because he does play drums. [He’s] going to drum and sing! I went, ‘Oh God, no.’

He’s always told his son to stay behind the camera, not wanting him to face the same scrutiny he has, but sometimes, you just have to let them fly on their own.

Cowell explained Eric’s ultimate goal is auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent when he’s a little older. The reporter asked Simon if he believes his son will have a tougher time in the industry because of who his father is.

I don’t think so, no. I think that if you’ve got, like myself, I have a very open mind…Like I said tonight, everything is subjective, we all like different things and he’s got his own opinion on things and he’s got his own mind and I’ve always encouraged that with him, which is if you like something and I don’t like something that’s life, so hopefully, he’ll be sitting there in 10 or less years time.

A tougher time? Pfft. Every door will be open for him because of who his father is. If he has even just a little talent, he’ll probably make it on his name alone.
