Back in October, Instagram trolls flooded Paris Hilton’s comments to make fun of the size of her baby’s head. That’s right, grown adults online were making fun of a 9-month-old baby.
Hilton was obviously quick to defend her son, and now two months later, she’s giving us a little more insight as to just how hurtful the comments were.
She told PEOPLE:
I couldn’t believe that they could be mean and vicious about a little innocent baby. You can say what you want about me, but this is my little angel. And if anyone ever says anything to hurt him or his feelings, I will always be there to protect him. Usually, I wouldn’t even dignify anything like that with a response, but I was just heartbroken that there are such cruel people in the world.
You have to be a special kind of evil to make fun of a baby. I mean, making fun of anyone online is pretty sad, but a baby? That’s just depressing.
But hey, Paris is trying her best to focus on the people who were offering her words of support.
It makes me feel so grateful knowing that there’s so many people in the world that love and support me. Sticking up for me meant the world to me, and to have people looking out for Phoenix in that way, it meant a lot.
That’s the internet for you. Good. Bad. Very little of anything else in between.
