33-year-old country/pop musician Maren Morris isn’t afraid to share her experience with postpartum depression.

During Wednesday’s episode of The Howard Stern Show, she revealed she couldn’t work following the birth of her son Harvey in 2020.

The conversation was sparked after she talked about how she chopped off “her long locks” to cut all the trauma from her hair. When Stern asked her what trauma she was referencing, she replied, opening up about her depression.

Stern asked her how much she thought the Zoloft contributed to her getting better, and she was very candid with her response…

It’s really neat of her to be so open about this. Even today, as more people open up about their mental health, it’s still something that is not talked about enough, especially when it comes to new mothers.

So lots of kudos to Morris. And if you’re struggling with depression, please reach out to someone! Don’t do it alone!
