The custody battle between actress Nia Long and NBA coach Ime Udoka has been finalized after a long clash in court.
If you don’t know, the former couple share a 12-year-old son named Kez together. After their split in December 2022, Long was awarded sole physical custody with reasonable visitation for Udoka. The court allegedly decided on this because Udoka is constantly traveling with his team, the Houston Rockets.
In any event, it was revealed this week that the coach will have to pay Long $32,000 every month in child support. Yes, that’s just for the one kid.
Udoka is responsible for paying for any travel for Kez to visit him while on the road, as well as Kez’s nanny, who will help transport him between his parents on such occasions.
As for holidays and vacations? Well, they plan to alternate holidays and Udoka was awarded up to three non-consecutive weeks of vacation time with Kez every year.
The parties shall notify each other of their intended summer vacation time with Kez no later than April of each year.
Geez. Custody battles sound miserable, huh? At the end of the day though, it’s about the children. Hopefully they are always putting him first.
