Once you become a mother for the first time, you kinda lose yourself a little. Obviously, you gain so much more, but for a while, you just might forget who you are because you’re so busy taking care of everyone else.
26-year-old Kylie Jenner talked a little about that during a recent interview with The New York Times.
She opened up about the postpartum depression she experienced after giving birth to her second child, 2-year-old Aire.
It takes me a while after I have a baby to feel like myself again. Then you get your body back, and you’re like, ‘Wait, the trends have changed.’
We have to imagine nearly every mother feels this way. It’s actually comforting to know that even a celebrity billionaire experiences this.
Elsewhere in the interview, Kylie showed just how protective she is of her kids. At one point, her 6-year-old daughter Stormi came into the room and Kylie made sure the interviewer didn’t include any quotes from her.
We can’t do that to her. She’s innocent. She comes in here, and she doesn’t know we’re doing an interview and then she has these quotes out in the open and she’s 6 years old. It’s my responsibility to protect her.
That’s pretty neat to see her being so protective. Kylie herself was basically thrown into the spotlight at a young age, and obviously it’s worked out for her, but still, there are probably things she’d take back. It’s nice to know she’s giving her daughter a chance to live a somewhat “normal” life.
