Katie Holmes is one proud momma! She celebrated her daughter’s high school graduation this past weekend. If you don’t know, Katie shares 18-year-old Suri with Tom Cruise, although, sources say Tom is not involved in her life.
The actress, 45, and her 18-year-old daughter were photographed celebrating Suri’s big moment after the teenager graduated from her New York City high school on Friday, June 21. Suri wore a red cap and gown over a white dress and was seen posing for photos with her mom, who wore tortoiseshell sunglasses and a white collared shirt, paired with white pants and silver heels.
Meanwhile, Tom was over in London, attending Taylor Swift’s huge concert at Wembley Stadium. Insiders say Tom and Suri have a complicated relationship. As you all know, Tom is heavily involved with the Church of Scientology, and they frown upon hanging out with non-church members, even if those non-church members are family.
Sources who were at the graduation claim Suri did not go by “Suri Cruise” on the program. Instead, she opted to go by Suri Noelle.
The good news is that while Suri doesn’t have much of a relationship with her father, she has a very close relationship with her mother. They are often spotted hanging out together in New York City.
In fact, Suri even worked with Katie on her most recent films. She provided vocals for Alone Together and Rare Objects.
