As most of you probably know, Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively share four kids together. They have daughters, James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, plus a 1-year-old son named Olin.
And in addition to the four kids, they both have pretty successful careers, so you know, their life is constant chaos, but Reynolds is reminding himself to enjoy it while it lasts.
He was on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast this week, and he talked a lot about his home life…
Embrace the chaos. We have four kids — like, okay, nothing’s going to be tidy ever again. But it will, though, when they all leave the house. My wife always says, ‘They’re all under our roof right now. The whole family’s under our roof right now. We have them all.’ And that is a fleeting thing. Not an infinite resource, you know?
I don’t think you’ll find anyone arguing with that advice. Even during the most hectic moments, you have to remind yourself that one day, you’re going to miss these moments.
He does admit though, some days parenting does get the best of him…
It does get to you, And it’s okay to be like, ‘F—, I am dying.’ Because that’s gonna happen every other day. But just say, ‘Think about what you would give in 40 years or 30 years to come back and enjoy this one moment.’
