Beloved ‘Happy Days‘ star Henry Winkler is no longer the cool guy wearing a leather jacket, making a jukebox play with just a simple nudge.
He’s now 78-years-old and a grandfather to six children: India, Ace, Lulu, Jules, Gus and Francis Joan.
Winkler recently talked to PEOPLE about his role as grandfather. He admitted being a grandparent is completely different than being a parent, “but it’s still filled with the same emotion.”
He also revealed that all his grandchildren are different and he has to have a different approach with each of them, but there are a couple of house rules that apply to them all.
Now the rules in the house, and there are a few, only a few, are the same. When the youngest granddaughter is sleeping, there is no fighting, there is no yelling. They are in charge of their friends to keep it down. No matter what age they are, from 14 to 7, they have to clear their dish.
Those seem like reasonable rules to us!
Winkler definitely seems like the “cool” grandfather. Last year, he revealed to Jennifer Hudson that he loves doing TikTok dances with his grandchildren…
I’m only on TikTok with my grandkids. My oldest granddaughter, India, said ‘Papa, you have to make a TikTok.’ So I think I’ve made 7 or 8, but only, mostly, with them.
