Most parents welcome the back-to-school season, especially stay-at-home parents who need that little break every day to maintain their sanity.
But for Jimmy Fallon? It’s a little different. The 49-year-old ‘Tonight Show‘ host spoke with PEOPLE recently to promote his new children’s book, 5 More Sleeps ‘Til Halloween.
During his conversation with PEOPLE, he admitted that he’s not looking forward to his daughters (Winnie, 11, Frances, 9) going back to school.
I don’t want [them] to go to school. I don’t want them to meet other people. I don’t want them to do anything. I just want them to hang out with us for the rest of their life.
He shares his two daughters with his wife, Nancy Juvonen. They’ve been married since 2007 and appear to still be going strong.
And even though Fallon doesn’t want his kids to go back to school, he admits they’re very much looking forward to it…
They love their school, they love their friends. And it’s another little chapter in their lives and another fun adventure. They went to camp for the first time too this year. You can’t talk to them. You have like a set time…you can talk to them for five minutes…I missed them so much. I’m like, ‘Please don’t leave us.’ But they had fun.
