Dax Shepard is a girl dad. He shares two daughters with his wife, Kristen Bell, and he’s admitted in the past that being a girl dad has made him a little more emotional.
During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Dax was asked, “What is something that will always get you to cry?”
And Dax knew his answer straight away…
100% when I see — It used to be when I would see Kristen sing. Which I get to see occasionally. She’ll host a charity event or something and she’ll sing, and every time I think ‘I can’t believe you can do that. It’s just so incredible. But now we have an 11-year-old who sings as well, and does musical theater, and now I go and I cry the whole time she’s singing. If they sing together, I cry.
How sweet! Singing can be so beautiful, so we certainly don’t blame him for letting those emotions come out!
Dax and Kristen seem to have a pretty good handle on parenting. Back in May, Kristen told PEOPLE that they make sure to always apologize in front of the kids…
We always make up in front of them if anyone gets snarky or frustrated or fights, which we all do. We do not have the makeup, our conflict resolution, be behind closed doors. Even if at dinner, let’s say, one of us is frustrated and is a little snarky and then we go to bed. We’ll apologize to each other the next morning.
