44-year-old actor Adam Brody was a special guest on a recent episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna, and naturally, the topic of parenting was brought up.
Brody has two kids (9-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son) with his wife, Leighton Meester. He and Meester like to keep their private life out of the spotlight, so you don’t often hear him talk about his family.
But there’s something about Hoda and Jenna that makes people open up. They asked him if he and Meester were “very strict” or “helicopter” parents, and Brody tried his best to give an honest answer.
Of course, I’m going to feel like it’s the perfect balance of all of it. But yeah, I don’t know. [We’re] very honest. We have some very truthful conversations, for better or worse. But other than that, I wouldn’t say overly strict. There is a helicopter, you know, to keep them safe. I’m not overly strict but I see the sharp edges
We all want to believe we have found the perfect balance, but I suppose that’ll be up to our kids to decide. They’ll be sure to let us know how we did.
But we’re sure Brody and Meester are great parents. They’ve been married since 2014, and as far as we know, they’ve had a pretty solid marriage. There have been no breakup or cheating rumors, which is a big deal for a celebrity couple.
