It wasn’t a very Merry Christmas for Jodie-Turner-Smith and ‘Dawson’s Creek‘ alum, Joshua Jackson. According to new court docs obtained by TMZ, Jodie is accusing Jackson of going back on his promise to support her financially during their divorce.
The 38-year-old actress, who shares a 4-year-old daughter named Juno with Jackson, claims the actor said he’d always support her and ensure she wouldn’t have to worry about financial security for their daughter.
“He said he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother,” she said in the court documents.
She’s asking Jackson to pay her $8,543 per month retroactive to the date of her initial filing in October 2023 and pay her $28,641 a month in spousal support while their divorce is still pending. Oh, and she also wants over $200,000 to pay her attorneys.
For those who don’t know, Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson back in October of 2023. She requested joint physical custody of their daughter. An insider claims Jackson was caught off guard by the divorce filing, however other sources allege he cheated on her with ‘Black Panther‘ star, Lupita Nyong’o.
Jackson has not responded to any of the allegations.
