Everyone has been patiently waiting for Quentin Tarantino’s final film. As some of you may remember, he previously revealed that he’d step away from filmmaking after his 10th film.
He stands at nine films right now, and there was thought this 10th movie could be released this year or perhaps in 2026, but now it looks like it might not be until 2027 at the earliest.
During a panel at The Sundance Film Festival this week, the 61-year-old writer/director revealed he’s in no hurry to jump back into production because he wants his kids to grow a little older first, so that they’ll actually remember the experience.
I’ve been doing production for 30 years. Next month my son turns 5, and I have a 2½-year-old daughter. When I’m in America, I’m writing. When I’m in Israel? I’m an abba, which means father. The idea of jumping on a voyage when they’re too young to understand it is not enticing to me. I kind of want to not do whatever movie I end up doing until my son is at least 6. That way he’ll know what’s going on.
As for his daughter? Well, he claims she’s already a “genius” and will likely catch on earlier than his son! Wonder how his son will feel reading that later in life? Haha.
Quentin shares both his kids with his wife, Daniella Pick. She’s 41-years-old and is an Israeli singer/actress. She and the famous director tied the knot back in 2018.
They have not revealed the name of their daughter, but we do know their son is named Leo, and during an interview a few years back, Quentin admitted he and his wife weren’t sure of the name at first.
We almost didn’t name him that because people would assume I named him after Leonardo DiCaprio. There’s nothing wrong with that, but … he’s named after my wife’s grandfather, but also because, just in our hearts, he was our little lion.
