Frankie Muniz, best known for his starring role in the hit sitcom, Malcolm in the Middle, is now 39-years-old and a proud father.
The former child star, who is now a professional race car driver, welcomed his first baby boy, Mauz, three years ago with his wife, Paige.
During a recent interview with PEOPLE, Muniz says being a dad is the best thing in the world, particularly because his son is currently obsessed with him…
He’s literally obsessed with me. He only wants Daddy all the time. I feel bad for my wife. I know — eventually he’ll be like, ‘Dad, get away.’ You know what I mean? Right now, all he wants is to be with me.
Ah, yes. Those “get away from me” days are coming, but he’s only three! We’re sure Frankie and Paige have a solid 8-10 years before that happens.
Right now, Frankie is just trying to enjoy every moment. Sometimes it can be difficult though, because his racing career often takes him away from home for weeks at a time.
It has taken me away from my family a lot. I’m on the road 300 days a year and I try to bring [Paige and Mauz] as much as I can, but it’s not the easiest thing. We got this RV to live in that we’ll bring to the racetrack. We’ll basically be at home and get to go on adventures in between the races. And I think we’re going to have a lot of fun. So I’m looking forward to that.
