The always lovable actress Kathryn Hahn was on a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show this week, and the two stars bonded over motherhood.
For those who don’t know, Hahn shares two kids — daughter Mae, 15, and son Leonard, 18, with her husband, Ethan Sandler. No relation to Adam Sandler, in case you were wondering like us.
Anyway, Hahn talked about how her son, Leonard, is preparing to head off to college, and she is not at all ready for it.
My son is about to go to college and I’m like a disaster. I’m trying to get all the tears out now so that I can just be so happy for him when he goes off. But right now, it’s a mess.
Yes, get those tears out now! Although, we’re sure some will still find their way out when the official goodbye happens. We seem to have an endless supply of tears.
Later in the interview, Hahn talked about how having a teenage son is like being in a toxic relationship…
I think this was Tina Fey, but we used to laugh about having a teenage son is like being in a toxic relationship with someone. Because you’re literally like, ‘Hey! Just texting you again.’ Like, standing by the phone like, ‘Is he going to call me back?’ That’s so much of it.
LOL! We’ve never heard that before, but it definitely checks out.
