Ben Affleck is a busy dude. Everyone wants his time and attention. He’s an actor, director, and even a producer, so he’s getting dozens of meeting requests every single day.
But luckily for him, he has a solid excuse for bailing on them.
The 52-year-old star has three kids, and he’s not afraid to use them as an excuse. During a conversation with his ‘Accountant 2‘ co-star, Jon Bernthal, the topic of bailing out of plans came up. Bernthal asked Affleck what his go-to excuse was.
It’s not an excuse if you heard me use it before. But it’s like, you know, my kids. Like something comes up with your kids. Because that is the thing where you’re like, ‘Hey, I can’t do it. I gotta do something for my kids.’ I should use it more as an excuse.
If you’re a parent, you’ve probably used your kids as an excuse before. Honestly, we don’t see anything wrong with it.
Sadly for Ben, his window for using them as an excuse is closing. His eldest is 19-years-old, and his his youngest is 13, so in just five years or so, all his children will be out of the house.
