The legal battle between Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith is unfortunately getting messier. As some of you know, the two stars share a 5-year-old daughter together.
They got married in 2019, welcomed their daughter in 2020, and then Turner-Smith filed for a divorce in 2023 following rumors that Jackson cheated on her. At the time, they agreed to joint custody. Earlier this year, they finally settled their divorce and Jackson was ordered to pay Turner-Smith nearly $3,000 in monthly child support.
One point of contention during the custody battle was where their daughter would go to school. After lots of back and forth, it was decided Turner-Smith would get final say, but she would have to consult with Jackson on the matter.
Well, now Jackson has filed an emergency custody order modification because he claims Turner-Smith failed to consult with him. He says she changed their daughter’s school without his permission.
In his declaration, Jackson claims that Jodie asserts it’s ‘no big deal to force Juno to start over with a new school’ and that he’s concerned that ‘Jodie is attempting to create a scenario where Juno travels with her rather than attending a traditional school.’
He’s requesting that the court orders their daughter to attend the same school she’s been attending for at least the next school year.
Reps for both Jackson and Turner-Smith did not immediately respond to request for comment.
We’ll keep you posted!
