Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have shared a lot of parenting advice throughout the years. The two stars share a 9-year-old daughter named Lincoln and a 7-year-old daughter named Delta together.

Some of you may remember how they made headlines last year when they talked about how they “wait for the stink” before bathing their kids.

We bathed our children every single night — prior to bed is like the routine. And then somehow, they just started going to sleep on their own without the routine, and by George, we had to start saying, ‘Hey, when’s the last time you bathed them?’

Shepard said that sometimes, they’d go five or six days without a bath. Bell added that when they start to stink, that’s when they know, “Hey, it’s time for another bath.”

This sparked a huge debate online, but thankfully, their latest parenting achievement shouldn’t spark such outrage.

Earlier this year, Bell shared on an episode of Shepard’s podcast that their daughters will often sleep on the floor inside their bedroom. She noted they’ll watch episodes of Science Channel’s ‘How It’s Made‘ while falling asleep.

This meant that Bell and Shepard didn’t get a lot of alone time, but that appears to be changing now that the kids are going back to school.

During a recent interview with E! News, Bell revealed their girls have started sleeping in their own room now.

We just graduated from them sleeping on the floor on this trifold mattress. So you can congratulate me — we did it, they now sleep in their room on beds right next to each other and they cuddle with each other instead of us.

And while the bedtime routine has been a success, the “make your own lunch” mission has not been as successful.

I desperately tried to get them to pack their own lunch, but it does not always work. It’s like, okay, you didn’t like what I packed, you pack your lunch. And I looked in and it was like literally all Skittles.

I mean, hey… don’t they say to eat your greens? I’m pretty sure there’s some greens inside a pack of Skittles.
