TODAY co-host Hoda Kotb loves to entertain the country every morning with her “weird” behavior. She has provided us with so many awkward moments we’re beginning to think she does it on purpose.
But when she’s not in front of the cameras, she’s a completely different person. For those who don’t know, Kotb and her former partner, Joel Schiffman, adopted their first daughter together, Haley, back in 2017. They then added Hope in 2019.
Haley is 5-years-old and Hope is 3-years-old. Kotb loves being a mother, and during an interview with PEOPLE magazine, the 58-year-old television personality revealed she’s open to adopting at least one other child.
It’s definitely in the universe for me. I feel like whatever is meant to be is meant to be. But I know a few things. I have love and time, and we have an open space.
But how is parenting going now that she and Schiffman are no longer together? She claims it’s going surprisingly well.
In fact, she praised Schiffman in the interview.
He’s a great dad. I don’t regret one day, not one minute, not one second of our time together because it brought me here. I have two incredible children I share with him. And it’s because of Joel that I have Haley and Hope, without question. I think I might have been too afraid to do it alone. That’s not something I love to admit, but it’s true.
We love to see a healthy co-parenting relationship.
Also in the interview, Kotb talked about how close her two daughters are.
They write each other notes and the teachers deliver them. I’m so blown away by the love that they share.
Certainly sounds like Kotb is loving her home life, and we could not be happier for her.
