Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard are very protective of their two daughters, 9-year-old Lincoln and 7-year-old Delta. They don’t typically share photos of their kids on their social media accounts.

But on Tuesday (Aug. 16) the 42-year-old actress decided to share a few snaps from their most recent family vacation. They reportedly visited Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota, and then had some fun along the river in Idaho.

While in Idaho, they spent time with Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney, where they went swimming, horse back riding and rafting.

As you can see, she covered the faces of her daughters with little heart emojis. They’ve always tried their best to shield their faces to protect their privacy.

Kristen and Dax also led the “No Kids Policy” to protect the children of celebrities from the paparazzi. Back in 2020, Kristen told Romper the following:

My feeling is that I chose a career in the public eye. I chose to be quoted, I chose to have my picture taken. I don’t know them yet. I don’t know if they will want that. So I really don’t have the right to choose for them. We are fiercely territorial about our family.

That sounds like the best policy to me. I mean, I think about the kids who grow up on reality television. They have no choice. Their entire childhood is filmed for the world to see. You have to imagine some of them grow up feeling resentful.

Parenting isn’t easy, but it looks like Dax and Kristen are doing their best.
