Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson are dancing their way to parenthood. The happy couple, who married back in 2019, announced last month that they were expecting their first child together.
Now one month later, they revealed the baby’s gender with a professional photoshoot.
The first photo is black-and-white while the following snaps are in color, showing that the confetti is blue.
Johnson captioned the cute photos by screaming, “IT’S A BOY!!!!” and added that they are now halfway through the pregnancy, “Saying those words still makes me emotional,” she wrote.
One of the reasons this pregnancy is so emotional for the Dancing with the Stars pro is because she and Val have been trying for two years.
They had actually just recently stopped trying to give themselves a break when their little miracle happened:
We had actually stopped trying to conceive for about 6 months to mentally/emotionally give ourselves a break… so the shock, disbelief, and sheer joy in this moment is a memory I will never forget 🤍 I want to keep this moment very positive because there is so much to celebrate and my heart is overflowing with gratitude, BUT our journey getting to this point wasn’t an easy one.
She went on to talk about the two years of infertility struggles and “hundreds of negative tests,” which made it extremely difficult for them to stay optimistic.
