There’s been a lot of drama recently surrounding Britney Spears and her kids. Last month, it was reported her kids, Preston and Jayden, did not want to see her. Their father, Kevin Federline, released videos showing Spears arguing with both kids, trying to paint her as semi abusive, although the videos didn’t really show that.
And now recently, Jayden (15) sat down with filmmaker Daphne Barak for a new interview about his feelings toward his mother.
He claims he feels bad for his brother because Britney hasn’t treated him fairly.
I think Mom has struggled giving us both attention and showing us equal love and I don’t think she showed enough to Preston and I feel really bad for that. We’ve both been through so much pressure in the past that this is our safe place now, to process all the emotional trauma we’ve been through to heal, heal our mental state.
So it looks Jayden is still not ready to see his mother, hinting that his father’s estate is their safe place. They reportedly haven’t seen Britney in months. Jayden claims he’ll be ready to see his mother again one day.
It’s just going to take a lot of time and effort. I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better, I really want to see her again.
How is Britney taking this news? Well, she posted a pretty lengthy statement to her Instagram account late Thursday night.
It deeply saddens me to know [Jayden’s] outcry of saying I wasn’t up to his expectations of a mother … and maybe one day we can meet face to face and talk about this openly !!!!
You can read her full message below. Safe to say, there’s a lot of healing that needs to happen in that family. Someone is going to have to make the first move.
