Michael Bublé shares four children with his wife Luisana Lopilato. They have an 8-year-old, 6-year-old, a 4-year-old and a baby girl who was just born last month.

And the 46-year-old musician is finding it extremely difficult to leave them behind while out on the road. During a conversation on That Gaby Roslin Podcast, Bublé talked about how he daydreams about leaving the music world behind to become a dad full-time.

I think I’m not loving it as much. I think I’m getting close to thinking maybe I can just go and be a dad. I have to put myself in a mental state, where if I’m not feeling it, I have to remind myself and go, ‘Hey, this is a beautiful opportunity, Mike, to go and do this again, to enjoy this again. How lucky are you. And I have to remind myself over and over again. Like we all do… I don’t care what you do for a living, it’s easy to get in that place. But life is good.

He also shared that he thinks it’s funny people think his life is perfect just because he has fame and money. Obviously money makes a lot of things easier in life, but Bublé explains it ain’t everything.

I’ve got an incredible career and, man, I’ve done so great … but you know how miserable I am about all of it? Seriously. It’ll just show you that if you think that money or success or some kind of fame will fix the things in your life and that you will find clarity and true happiness, it’s bull.

Sounds like he might actually want to consider a break from music. It doesn’t mean he has to say goodbye to it forever, but perhaps a two or three year break? Might be good for his mental state.

Currently though, he’s deep in a tour across North America, and it doesn’t look like it ends until late October, so he still has another two months on the road.

What’s funny is that once he’s back at home for a couple months, he’ll probably want to be back on tour. That’s just how life works. Makes you wonder if anyone is ever truly happy.
