27-year-old rapper/singer Post Malone became a father for the first time four months ago. He welcomed a baby girl with his fiancee, Jamie, earlier this year and has been trying to balance his home/work life ever since.
During a recent interview with GQ, Post talked about how difficult it is being on the road, away from his family back at home.
It’s really tough not being able to see her, but she’s coming out more often now. I’m just happy to see her. But it is heartbreaking having to leave and not be able to be with her all the time.
He also talked about how cool his daughter is. In fact, he claims she’s cooler than he is, which is saying a lot because Post is one of the coolest dudes out there.
Post claims his daughter already dresses to impress.
She’s so swaggy. We got her overalls, Realtree camo everything, some nice hoodies, some zip-ups. She’s so cool. She’s way cooler than me, but she definitely took a little inspiration from me.
But how does she feel about his music? Well, the jury is still out. After all, she’s only four-months-old. But if you listen to Post describe it, she basically doesn’t have an option. She’s going to be forced to like his music.
She’s going to have to like my music, I think, [or] she’s going to get used to it — I know everybody at the house plays it for her and hopefully, they’ll get stuck in her head. Kids love my music for some reason, which is awesome, so I’m hoping that she just goes with the flow on that one.
Earlier this year, Post talked about how much he’s enjoying life. He’s the “happiest” he’s ever been and is clearly loving dad life.
