54-year-old actress Julia Roberts is loved by the world. It’s hard to find anyone who has a negative thing to say about her.

But that doesn’t mean she’s perfect. During an interview with Hoda Kotb on Today, she admitted that some days she fails as a mother, and she’s open with her kids about it.

Sometimes I get gripped with fear of blowing it. And sometimes I’ve just said to my kids, ‘So today, me as a mom? Can we just take that off the board because I blew it.’

Roberts has three kids with husband Danny Moder. They share a 15-year-old named Henry and 17-year-old twins Phinneas and Hazel.

In addition to admitting her failures as a mother, Roberts also talked about how thankful she feels to have waited until later in life to have children.

I met [husband Danny Moder] when I was ready … And then we call these children into our lives when we’re ready to best partner with them. The life that we’ve built with our children. And that’s the best stuff. … The point is to come home at the end of the day triumphantly to them.

Roberts has been busy promoting her upcoming rom-com Ticket to Paradise with George Clooney. While filming the movie for two months in Australia, Roberts wrote letters home to her husband, and he wrote them to her.

It’s something they’ve been doing for years.

I have the first letter he ever wrote me … And one day, I’ll show it to Hazel and say, ‘That’s, that’s what you’re looking for.’

Sounds like they have a good thing going on. It’s nice to know that the actress who has starred in some of the most beloved rom-coms in history has found her true love in real life.
