George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, share 5-year-old twins together, Ella and Alexander. The 61-year-old actor waited until his 50s to have children for the first time, and it’s a decision he does not regret.
In fact, it may be part of his plan to be “out of it” when his daughter finally starts dating. During a recent interview on Today, the ‘Ticket to Paradise‘ actor admitted some milestones scare him when it comes to his kids.
“I kind of like the idea of being sort of out of it, when my daughter starts to date,” he said, before pretending to be his daughter introducing her boyfriend, “Papa, I want you to meet … he’s a drummer in a band.”
Clooney then pretended to be “out of it” and looked around the room in a daze, “What? I like toast,” he mumbled.
Last month, Clooney appeared on CBS Morning with Amal, and during the interview, they revealed they taught their twins how to speak Italian.
We taught them Italian. But we don’t speak Italian. So we’ve armed them with a language they can harm us with. And we both don’t really know what they’re saying.
George and Amal got engaged in July of 2014, they married in September 2014, adopted a dog together in 2015, and then had twins in 2017 after surviving the dog test.
Sounds like they’re doing great as parents. I would have loved if my parents forced me to learn another language when I was a kid. What else was I doing with my life at 5-years-old? Eating cheese sticks?
