Earlier this month, Hilary Swank shocked the world when she announced she was pregnant with twins. The 48-year-old actress has never had children, so the fact that she’s all the sudden having twins at nearly 50 was a surprise to most people.
But now that the shock has subsided, people are ready to follow along with her pregnancy journey. During a recent interview with Extra, the ‘Alaska Daily‘ actress talked about how bad her morning sickness has been.
I was having some bouts of morning sickness. My friends tell me when you have double, it doubles the hormones, double the sickness, double the everything.
It’s true… at least according to a quick Google research campaign. While it’s not scientifically accurate to say everything is “doubled,” things are raised a bit.
Two babies means way more hormones—not necessarily twice as much but enough that these symptoms are often considerably worse, start sooner (like, right away) and last longer.
Elsewhere in the interview, Swank said she never had kids before because she never had the right relationship.
Also, she revealed that the twins are due on her late father’s birthday, which just makes it even more special.
It’s beautiful. It’s all aligning, and my dad, he was one of my favorite people in the world, so it is kind of like… this tribute of life with them being born on this birthday. He would be happy, elated for me. He just wanted me to have everything I wanted in my life, so I know it would be something that would bring him a lot of joy to see me in so much joy.
Sounds like it’s all coming together.
