Rihanna is just now returning to the spotlight after welcoming her first child with A$AP Rocky. She gave birth to a happy and healthy baby boy in Los Angeles back in May.

Now, six months later, she’s gearing up for her upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance. She talked to E! News recently and admitted getting back into the swing of things has been difficult after “relaxing” for so long.

But she’s starting to find a nice balance, “Once you get to the other side, you’re like ‘I gotta get back,’ there’s just something that happens.”

Being a new mother has helped her learn a few things about herself, one of those things being how she’s exactly like her mother, Monica Braithwaite.

It is weird.Even the little things that annoy me about her, I do it. I literally make all of the same faces. I say the same things. I clear my throat the same way. I move my mouth the same way. I either never noticed it or it never happened until I had a baby.

It’s a real thing, but I don’t think it has anything to do with becoming a mother. I think it’s more about age. The older you get, the more similarities come out.

For example, my mom was always watching people from the window, trying to get in everyone’s business, and now I find myself doing the same thing. I’m like, “What? Who is this car? And why is it parked in front of our mailbox? How are we going to get mail today?

It happens to us all. Don’t try to fight it. Just accept it. If Rihanna can accept it, so can you.
