As some of you may know, ‘This Is Us‘ star Mandy Moore gave birth to her second baby boy, Ozzie, last month. She and her husband Taylor Goldsmith already share a 1-year-old named Gus.
During a chat with Us Weekly, the 38-year-old actress/singer revealed the family feels complete now, and so far, having a second baby hasn’t been as challenging as she thought it would be.
I think it’s all just starting to ramp up a bit. [It’s been] pretty quiet and mellow. I mean, I haven’t really left the house [other than] for going to doctor’s appointments, so I know that we’re in the very early days where things are still just pretty easy. … The challenging days haven’t even hit us yet, but it’s fun.
Sounds like she knows the hard moments are coming. Just wait a couple years when they’re both toddlers, fighting over who gets to use the iPad. Although, this is Mandy Moore we’re talking about here. We’re sure she can afford more than one iPad.
Moore also revealed she’s trying to enjoy this newborn phase for as long as possible because it goes by so quickly.
This time is so fleeting. I’m really trying to soak it in all [of] his little noises and his smell. … This newborn phase is so specific and so special and it goes by so fast that I’m just trying to hold onto it as long as I can.
So who does Ozzie look more like? Well, she says it’s too early to know for sure, but she’s hoping it’s her because Gus looks exactly like her husband.
Gus is a carbon copy of my husband and always has been. I mean, everybody says that — so much so that I’m like, ‘I swear I was there. I was a part of this.’ But Ozzie’s yet to be determined.
