Where’s the strangest place you’ve stored your breast milk? For ‘Scandal‘ actress Kerry Washington, it’s the White House.
The 41-year-old mother was on the Jennifer Hudson Show this week, and during her appearance, she revealed years back, she attended Barack Obama’s final party in office.
And she just so happened to be nursing at the time, so she brought her pump with her just in case she was out late.
I was nursing at the time and I remember I brought my pump with me, just in case. And thank God, because at 2 a.m., I was like, ‘Can somebody show me a little closet where I can go and pump?’ Because I’m not ready to leave this party!
Hudson seemed impressed by this, questioning, “You put it in the fridge at the White House? That baby got some special milk!”
Washington shares an 8-year-old daughter named Isabelle and a 6-year-old son named Caleb with her husband Nnamdi Asomugha. Kerry and Nnamdi got married in 2013 and have been happily in love ever since.
Back in 2017, shortly after welcoming Caleb, Washington revealed how upset she was at the reports claiming she started working out again just two weeks after giving birth.
My doctor made me take my six weeks off, and I did. It was rumored somewhere that I was working out a week or two after he was born and it really upset me, actually. I never talk about rumors in the media, but I was really sad that somebody printed that because I felt like, ‘Oh, that makes women feel like they have to start working out’ — like, ‘Oh celebrities work out right away.’ And I was like, ‘No way!’
