Coco Austin has received a lot of hate online for her parenting techniques. In fact, we don’t think any celebrity has been mom-shamed more than the 43-year-old reality star.

And it looks like all that online hate is taking a toll. During a recent appearance on the Tamron Hall Show, Coco broke down in tears after seeing a surprise video from her husband, Ice-T.

In the video, the actor is on the set of Law & Order: SVU, and he says:

This is a shout-out going to my wife Coco. You are the most incredible person I’ve ever met, the nicest person I’ve ever met, and the best mother to Chanel that anyone could possibly imagine, alright? I love you to death; 22 years, baby, and it gets better every day.

After the clip ended, Hall told Coco that he wanted to surprise her in person, but he was stuck working, so he sent the video instead.

A few tears fell down Coco’s face as she spoke:

You know, as a mother, you don’t hear that much … You don’t hear that much from everybody. I have the whole world … and I’m underneath a microscope all the time. And you don’t hear what good you do. You don’t hear the goodness. You just hear the bad. And I know I’m a good mother because I dedicated the last six years of putting everything aside — my career, everything, just for her.”

Coco seemed to get more emotional as she spoke. It’s clear the online trolling has really had an impact on her, and that’s something a lot of people don’t realize when they leave these nasty comments. These are real people. They have feelings just like the rest of us. I know sometimes we treat celebrities as if they’re above it all, but they’re not.

Everyone parents their own way, and as long as the child isn’t being harmed, maybe we should practice being less judgmental.
