A separation means something a little different when you have a family together. ‘Sister, Sister‘ actress Tia Mowry knows this all too well.

She and her ex-husband Cory Hardrict announced their separation back in October 2022 after being married for nearly 15 years. But even though the split is fresh, they’re still going to spend the holidays together for their children.

They share 11-year-old son Cree and a 4-year-old daughter named Cairo. The 44-year-old actress talked to TMZ about the upcoming holiday schedule.

Yes, we are going to be spending the holidays with him, which we’re really excited about. With the whole family. I mean, family is family no matter what happens, and that’s what’s important to me. We will always be family.

It’s nice they’re able to put their differences to the side for their kids. And honestly, Tia has seemed so much happier now that she’s no longer in the marriage.

Her sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, opened up about how her sister has been feeling following the split:

I told her, I said, ‘Tia, I’m looking on your Instagram, this is the happiest you’ve been in a long time. You are glowing!’ You look different, but In a very positive way!’ I think it’s because — no, I know it’s because she is living her authentic, true self.

It was certainly a brave move to make. When you build this family with someone and you’ve been with them for nearly 15 years, the safe option is to stay.

But Tia decided to put her long-term happiness first, and I think that’s going to have a positive impact on her parenting going forward.
