Want to win America’s Got Talent? You not only need to impress Simon Cowell, but his 8-year-old son, Eric, as well.
During a recent appearance on the UK talk show, Loose Women, the 63-year-old professional judge talked about how his son is often right when it comes to contestants on America’s Got Talent.
When I watch the shows before they go out, and I’m kind of looking at Eric out of the corner of my eye, going ‘Does he like something? Does he not like something?’ and annoyingly he’s normally right.
Cowell says Eric gives his opinions “nonstop” and said he believes he has a good idea of what he’s going to be when he’s older. He did not name the profession though.
It’s a really cool thing, He’s got his own opinion. He’s his own man, which is really, really important. Yeah, he’s a sweetheart.
It looks like Cowell has really been enjoying fatherhood. He didn’t become a father until he was 55, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. He said being a dad is the best thing that’s ever happened to him.
For those who don’t know, he shares Eric with his fiancee Lauren Silverman. She’s 45-years-old and has one other kid from a previous marriage.
As for when Simon and Lauren will officially tie the knot? “Still planning,” Cowell grinned.
